In this article, let’s get to know Lisa Andriani.
Born in Adelaide, South Australia, Lisa Andriani is a mother to Laurence (23) and Sam (22). Lisa is a Finance Executive at SUREWiSE and has a strong background in business and finance. Lisa has worked for two of Australia’s largest banks in finance and customer service and has also owned and operated multiple video store businesses.
Working for SUREWiSE since 2012, Lisa’s role as Finance Executive is to manage SUREWiSE’s daily banking, underwriter payments, credit control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general accounting functions.
What do you like most about working in the insurance industry?
I enjoy working with a diverse range of people within the insurance industry and I love being able to help others. I really appreciate the opportunity to be part of the insurance industry and learning from a great bunch of people.
What do you like most about working for SUREWiSE?
I feel very supported by the team at SUREWiSE. I like the business structure and the team of professionals who make coming to work a pleasure each day. The team environment and culture is great because everyone helps each other. The team are always looking for how we can better themselves and management encourages continued learning and development.
What is the most challenging thing you find working in the insurance industry?
The most challenging aspect of working in the insurance industry is educating clients on the importance of paying their policy premiums on time to ensure they remain continually protected. Economic conditions can impose financial stress on our clients but it’s how we work with our clients by providing affordable solutions which usually overcomes obstacles.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I really enjoy going to my father’s farm to escape the city. I especially love visiting the farm during harvest periods to help pick grapes and make wine as well as pick olives and make olive oil. I also love the beach and catching up with friends for quality food and wine. Going out for dinner for a nice meal is also important to me for relaxation.
Where have you travelled?
I have travelled to the USA (Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Tennessee), Europe (Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Spain and the United Kingdom), Hong Kong and Bali. I have also lived in Molfetta, Bari for two months. I am also pleased to say that I have travelled to every state and territory in Australia because we have such a beautiful part of the world in our own back yard.
If you could have a month-long holiday anywhere in the world, where would you travel to and why?
If I had the opportunity to travel for a whole month, I would travel along the Amalfi Coast in Italy because it’s a beautiful part of the world and it’s so relaxing.
Do you have any future travel aspirations?
I hope to travel to New York in the USA because during the last three times I’ve been to America, I haven’t made it to NYC.
What is your favourite food?
My favourite food is Capriciossa pizza with a traditional napoli base.
What is the name of your favourite restaurant?
My favourite restaurant is Jackie Chan’s restaurant in Hong Kong.
What is your favourite movie?
My favourite movie of all time is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
Who is your favourite actor or actress?
My favourite actress is Audrey Hepburn.
What is your favourite book?
My favourite book is “To Kill a Mockingbird”, written by Harper Lee.
What motivates you?
I am motivated by being around my family, being challenged, believing good things will come and knowing that there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
What’s most important to you?
My family, friends, work and happiness (for everyone I care about) are what’s most important to me.
What makes you happy?
I am happy when my family and friends are happy, when I’m able to catch up with friends and family, and especially when I’m on holidays relaxing. I enjoy lots of laughter and knowing that persistence always provides results.
What is something unusual about you?
I have the ability to remember people’s number plates for absolutely no reason at all.
What is the most embarrassing thing to happen to you?
I can recall far too many embarrassing moments because there’s always something embarrassing happening to me.
What is your favourite sport?
My favourite sport is soccer. Locally, I support Adelaide City and in the Premier League, I support Manchester United.
Do you follow the AFL and if so, which team do you support?
Yes, I follow the AFL and support Port Adelaide.
